- West coast beaches have dangerous surf — swim only between the flags, if at all.
- Some Waitākere Ranges tracks are closed to protect kauri trees; we only use open areas.
- Beach and coastal access depends on weather, tides and current track conditions.
- Driving times are estimates and change with traffic, roadworks, weather and road closures. Itineraries are planned within New Zealand driver work-time limits, with rest breaks.
