South Island lakes or North Island culture?
South Island private tours can connect Christchurch, Lake Tekapo, Aoraki / Mount Cook and the Southern Lakes over sensible overnight stages. North Island tours offer Auckland, Rotorua, Taupō and coastal journeys. For both islands, leave time for separately arranged flights or ferries rather than treating the crossing as a road transfer.
